Definitions

"Services" means the InterviewHelpAI website, desktop application for Windows and macOS, our proxies/APIs, and any related features. "Desktop App" means our Electron-based application. "We", "us", and "our" refer to InterviewHelpAI. "You" refers to any user or visitor of the Services.

Welcome to InterviewHelpAI ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and services, including the InterviewHelpAI desktop application for Windows and macOS (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

InterviewHelpAI is developed and operated by a solo developer based in India. For any questions, please contact interviewhelpai@gmail.com.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the authority to enter into these Terms.

Accounts

You may create an account using Google Sign‑In or email via Firebase Authentication. You agree to keep your account credentials confidential and are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that are inaccurate, abusive, or otherwise violate these Terms.

Subscriptions, Payments, and Taxes

We offer free usage with credits upon signup and paid monthly subscription plans (e.g., Plus and Pro). Payments are processed by Razorpay. By subscribing, you authorize recurring monthly charges until you cancel. Prices and features may change from time to time. All amounts are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

We do not store your full payment instrument information on our servers. Razorpay may collect a phone number during checkout to send transactional SMS; that phone number is stored in Razorpay's systems and may be visible to us in our Razorpay dashboard. We do not store your phone number in our database.

You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund the current billing period. Your access remains active until the end of the paid term. For our no-refund policy, see Refund & Cancellation.

No Refunds Policy

All purchases are final and non-refundable. We do not offer refunds under any circumstances whatsoever.

We provide free credits upon signup that allow you to fully test and explore all features of the application before making any purchase. Because of this comprehensive trial experience, we operate a strict no-refund policy. No refunds will be issued for any reason including but not limited to: technical issues, compatibility problems, dissatisfaction, accidental purchases, or any other circumstance.

Important Disclaimer: User Responsibility

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" FOR PERSONAL USE ONLY. YOU ARE SOLELY AND ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL YOUR ACTIONS PERFORMED IN, WITH, OR THROUGH THE SERVICES.

By using InterviewHelpAI, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Personal Use Only: The Services are intended solely for personal, individual use. Commercial use, redistribution, or use on behalf of others without authorization is prohibited.
  • User Actions: You are fully and solely responsible for any and all actions you take using, within, or in connection with the Services. This includes but is not limited to how you use AI-generated responses, transcriptions, and any other outputs from the application.
  • No Liability for User Conduct: We are not responsible, liable, or legally bound for any actions you perform with or through our Services. Any illegal, dishonest, unethical, fraudulent, or otherwise improper activity conducted by you using our Services is entirely your responsibility.
  • Legal Compliance: It is your sole responsibility to ensure that your use of the Services complies with all applicable laws, regulations, rules, and policies in your jurisdiction. This includes laws regarding recording, transcription, privacy, intellectual property, and any platform-specific policies.
  • No Endorsement: We do not endorse, approve, or take responsibility for how you choose to use the Services or any outcomes resulting from such use.
  • Consequences: Any legal consequences, penalties, damages, or liabilities arising from your use of the Services are solely your responsibility. We will not be held liable for any claims arising from your actions.

If you engage in any illegal, dishonest, unethical, fraudulent, or harmful activities using our Services, you alone bear full legal responsibility. InterviewHelpAI, its developers, operators, and affiliates shall not be held liable in any way.

Software Use

  • License: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, non-transferable license to download and use the desktop app and website for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
  • Live Transcription & AI: Audio capture starts only when you trigger it in the desktop app. Audio streams are processed via Deepgram, AssemblyAI, and Google Gemini Live (through our proxy) for live speech‑to‑text, and are not stored on our servers. AI responses are generated by third‑party AI providers (e.g., OpenAI and Google Gemini) and handled per their terms. We do not persist your transcripts or AI prompts/outputs on our servers.
  • Updates: We may update the Services automatically to improve performance or security. Certain updates may be required to use features.

Third-Party Services & Your Consent

The Services integrate with and rely upon various third‑party platforms and providers. By using our Services, you acknowledge, agree, and consent to be bound by the terms and conditions, privacy policies, and acceptable use policies of all third-party services we utilize, including but not limited to:

  • Google (Firebase Authentication, Google Analytics, Google Gemini AI)
  • OpenAI (AI response generation)
  • Deepgram (speech-to-text transcription)
  • AssemblyAI (speech-to-text transcription)
  • Firebase (authentication and database)
  • Vercel (server hosting)
  • Cloudflare (proxy, CDN, and web hosting)
  • Razorpay (payment processing)
  • PostHog (desktop app analytics)
  • Google Analytics (web analytics)

We are not responsible or liable for any actions, data handling, data processing, data retention, or any issues arising from these third-party services. These services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and any data they collect, process, or retain is governed by their respective policies, not ours.

By signing up and using InterviewHelpAI, you expressly agree to the terms and conditions and privacy policies of all aforementioned third-party vendors. If you do not agree to these third-party terms, you should not use our Services.

Fair Use & Resource Protection

To protect quality for all users, we may impose reasonable usage limits across free and paid plans. If your usage degrades or risks our infrastructure (for example, excessive concurrent streams, automated scraping, or abnormal API traffic), we may throttle, queue, delay, limit, suspend, or stop your access temporarily or permanently. Where practical, we will notify you with steps to resolve the issue.

Multi‑Account & Device Limits

Creating multiple accounts by one individual to bypass plan limits is prohibited. We may link accounts to devices or other signals (including IP and device identifiers) to detect multi‑account abuse. Upon detection, we may consolidate, suspend, or terminate related accounts and restrict future access.

Transcription Consent & Compliance

You are solely responsible for complying with applicable laws when recording or transcribing audio. Obtain all required consents from participants before capturing system or microphone audio. Do not use the Services in prohibited environments or to violate platform/conference policies. Failure to obtain proper consent is your responsibility alone.

Acceptable Use

  • Do not violate laws or third‑party rights (including privacy, copyright, and platform terms like video‑conferencing policies).
  • Do not attempt to reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the Services.
  • Do not use the Services to develop competing products or to perform benchmarking without consent.
  • Do not upload malicious code or attempt unauthorized access.
  • Do not use the Services for any illegal, fraudulent, dishonest, unethical, or harmful purposes.

No Guarantee; Performance Disclaimer

InterviewHelpAI provides AI‑assisted content and transcription for informational purposes only. We do not promise or guarantee that any interview will be successful or that you will achieve any particular outcome. Performance can vary based on device, connectivity, third‑party providers, and meeting platforms. Use your judgment and comply with applicable rules wherever you are using the Services.

Intellectual Property

We own or license all rights in the Services, including software, designs, text, graphics, and trademarks. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works except as expressly permitted by these Terms.

Privacy

Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data, including details about Firebase, Razorpay, Google Analytics, PostHog, Deepgram, AssemblyAI, and AI providers.

Service Management & Suspension

We may monitor use for security and abuse prevention, and manage the Services to protect our rights and ensure proper operation. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, suspected fraud, legal requirements, or risks to our systems or other users.

Account Deletion by User

You may delete your account at any time from within the desktop app after logging in. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. This action removes your account data from our database systems and you will lose access immediately.

  • If you have an active subscription, deleting your account will stop access to the plan immediately and we will not provide a refund for the remaining period. This is a user‑initiated action.
  • We may retain limited records as required by law and de‑identified analytics that do not identify you.
  • Important: Account deletion removes your data from our database only. Third-party services we use (including Razorpay, Google Analytics, PostHog, Firebase, and others) may retain data according to their own retention policies. We are not responsible for any data persisted by these external services after you delete your account with us. Their respective terms and conditions and privacy policies govern such data retention.

Electronic Communications, Transactions & Signatures

You consent to receive communications electronically and agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, and other communications we provide electronically satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.

Warranties and Liability

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE SIX (6) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM LIABILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES, LOSSES, OR CONSEQUENCES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY ACTIONS YOU TAKE BASED ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT, TRANSCRIPTIONS, OR ANY OTHER OUTPUTS FROM THE APPLICATION.

Governing Law; Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. In the event of any dispute, the parties will first attempt good‑faith negotiations for 30 days. If unresolved, the dispute shall be referred to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration will be India, proceedings in English, before a sole arbitrator appointed mutually. Courts in India having jurisdiction may be approached for interim relief.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Services, your actions performed using the Services, violation of these Terms, or infringement of third‑party rights.

Miscellaneous

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services and supersede prior understandings. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect. We may assign these Terms. We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure).
